Year 2 Hub
Here you can find out more about what we’ve been up to in our Year 2 classes and see what is planned over coming weeks. Don’t forget to take a look at our news stories in main news section too!
Our latest topic is ‘3-2-1 Blast off!’ (8th January – 15th February 2019)
The children will learn about the significance of the famous explorer Neil Armstrong and the period of time in which he lived. They will learn about the significance of the events building up to the first moon landing and how space exploration has changed over time.
As well as the historical element to this topic the children will also enjoy fun texts such as ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ which will support them in creating their own fun stories.
Parents and Carers are invited into school at 2.30pm on Thursday 14th February 2019 to build a 3D space station with their child. Please bring in boxes on the day.
